How to Take Quicker Decisions

The life of each and every one of us depends on our ability to take decisions. How quickly this is happening has an exceptional significance on the end results which we achieve in life.
If we think about it deeper, probably we would get to the conclusion that our life would be so much simpler if we could just take decisions in 5 minutes. Actually, many scientists believe in the notion that the more we think about something, the less likely is to make the right decision. We waste too much energy in thinking, while we could spend the same amount of time in action and obtain amazing results. How can we change this? Here are some tips and tricks:
1. Follow the “2-minute rule”. The idea is that we ourselves should have a limit when taking decisions. The limitation of the time we have on our hands stimulates us to think quicker. It is not obligatory to be two minutes; we can choose our own “deadline” but no longer than 5 minutes.
2. Think “black and white”. Many options for a choice reflect on us in a paralyzing manner and often stand on our way making a decision. Try to separate the options into good and bad, instead of analyzing each one separately. This will make the process much simpler.
3. Apply a lottery principle. If you still have to choose between more than one good options, just pick one randomly. The more important things is to choose quicker and step to the implementation process.
4. Focus on the present. Thinking about the future, we are self-blocking ourselves and we do not have the courage to make a decision. However, to progress in life, we need to focus on the best thing which we can do at the moment and at the next step. And do this at every given moment.
5. Accept failure as something normal. The fear of failure is probably the biggest obstacle when making a decision. One bad decision could give us a valuable lesson and help us improve. At the same time, the lack of such experience does not bring anything to the table..
